NYX Cosmetics originated in Los Angeles in 1999 by a young entrepreneur named Toni Ko. The name NYX comes from the ancient Greek Goddess, NYX, who ruled the night. With the popularity of this dynamic colour cosmetic line and outstanding prices, NYX is becoming one of the most up and coming cosmetic lines in North America.

Nesam Sales Ltd. (based in Burnaby, British Columbia) recognized the need for a quality, reasonably priced colour cosmetic line in the Canadian market and felt that NYX would be the perfect fit. In 2003 Nesam Sales Ltd. became the Canadian distributor for NYX Cosmetics.
