Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought two lipsticks so far, Natural and Alabama, and I am so happy with my purchases! I have warm fair skin with hazel eyes and brown hair, and so it's been difficult finding a red that looked good, but Alabama is perfect! It's not bright like some of the other reds I've found and stands out, but it's not in your face, which I like. Natural is so pretty and just a few shades pinker than my natural lip color, and stands out just a little bit and is very flattering. Both of these lipsticks last forever! I wore Natural all day and just had to touch it up once on the bottom lip after I had lunch. I can't wait to buy more colors! Ugh, in love!

I bought this product in "Eden" and while it's significantly brighter of a red than it appears in the website color swatch, I absolutely adore it. I'm a porcelain-skinned redhead, and most red lipsticks make me look washed out and pasty. The tint of blue in this lipstick is gorgeous, and while I had to reapply around midday, it goes on smoothly and wears evenly--so I wasn't left with weird red patches on my lips as it started to fade. I just ordered three more colors...I'm sold on this formula. The only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 is that it wasn't exactly the color that I expected...I think that using a dark liner under it will get me the color I wanted, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite basic lipstick This is a really good basic lipstick. I have five different colors and they all perform well. I did look at other peoples' swatches before buying to make a more informed decision. They smell lightly sweet, got on easily, and stay put for a good amount of time. I really appreciate the brown-based reds, as blue-based reds always look hot pink on me. I also love the grey-based trend! Along with what I own, I bought Euro Trash for my sister and it really looks like the perfect nude. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have bought three matte lipsticks in Strawberry Daiquiri, Euro Trash, & Street Cred three weeks ago and received it a few days before my 21st birthday. It was my gift to myself. I must admit I was so excited to see it in my hands because this purchase was my first time to try NYX cosmetics. Therefore, my conclusion is I absolutely love these matte lipsticks! They're affordable, very pigmented, and doesn't bleed when I am outside. Also, these lipsticks didn't flake or scrunch up on me due to my lips being exfoliate beforehand. So I'm happy with my purchase, thanks NYX!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'm am a novice matte lip rocker, especially bold colors like REDS...but I have to admit this lipstick is making me want to become familiar with more matte lip colors. Bought it in ALABAMA and really like the pigmentation, texture, and longevity of wear it offers. I found that applying a small amount of lip balm as a base and a bit of clear gloss (about the amount of a ball point pen tip) provided more comfort while wearing. Overall, a definite like and I WILL likely purchase one or two more colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great matte lipstick! Ive been wanting to try the matte lipsticks for a while so I just got the color spirit about a month ago. I'm a really happy I did because the formula is great, they are comfortable on the lips (for a matte) and still provide some moisture. I'm pretty fair and spirit is just on the cusp of how light I can go in a nude. I would recommend using a slightly darker nude lip liner. As with almost all lighter mattes you can see your lines, they aren't emphasized and it doesn't cling to dry patches but some days I'll add on butter gloss to give more dimension to the color a swell as camouflaging little lines. Has great lasting power as well

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SO disappointed - colors are not accurate. Honestly, I was super excited when I ordered these; I bought Nude, Pale Pink, and Hippy Chic. Every single one of those shades did not even come close to the colors that are pictured here. ** I've included pictures of all the shades below, in various lighting as well. ** -Hippy Chic was much MUCH darker than the picture, with extreme orange tones in it. -The "Nude" was honestly not even a nude color at all, it was pretty much just straight up peach.. very.. very peachy/orange toned and very close the the Hippy Chic shade. -The Pale Pink was pretty dark as well, not pale and a bit warmer than I expected for a blue-toned lipstick? The lipstick itself is smooth for the most part (I keep my lips super moisturized haha), and its very opaque and doesn't dry out my lips, but unfortunately all of the colors are completely unwearable for me.. I've ALWAYS loved NYX cosmetics, and absolutely love their lipstick, but i was honestly very disappointed with these three (maybe I somehow got a defective batch? who knows..) I'll be sticking to Mac when it comes to light shades and matte lipstick :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My go-to lipstick I picked up the Bloody Mary as a joke (Mary is not only my name, but my favorite drink is a good ole Bloody Mary) and was genuinely surprised at how well it actually looked on me. I've used NYX before (several eyeliners, and Snow White lipstick) but hadn't tried the mattes yet. I love this product, it's gotten to the point where I use this one more than my expensive M.A.C. Ruby Woo because it's how a matte should feel and look. I wore it to work, never once faded, and. I only touched it up out of habit than actual need. It can get on skin or smear a little bit but I do appreciate than when it does, there's little evidence the color was ever there (a problem I find with a lot of reds)
